Coffee Grounds, who knew?

Did you know that coffee grounds are excellent helpers in the home?  I had no idea!

According to this post, they can be used as:

Plant Fertilizer: Plants that prefer acidic soils will respond well to coffee grounds. Use grounds to on the top layer of soil, or mix it with potting soil before planting.
Deodorizer: Dry coffee grounds on a cookie sheet and then put them in an open container in your refrigerator or freezer. Or, fill a sachet with the dried grounds and hang in closets to absorb odors. [Do you think this would make your fridge smell like coffee, though?]
Insect Repellant: Sprinkle grounds around places you don’t want ants, or around ant hills. Encircle the base of a plant to repel pests. [I also read that if you have problems with  your neighbors cats using your garden as a litter box, this can encourage them to look elsewhere.]
Cleaning Solution: Use grounds as a scouring agent any greasy or stain resistant surface. Also works to remove strong odors such as garlic and onion from pans and your hands. [I also read that you can use it on your legs and it helps diminish the appearance of cellulite – this seems too good to be true!]
Furniture Repair: Steep grounds and apply mixture to wood furniture scratches with a Q-tip.What do you think?  Will you be taking your coffee grounds into the shower with you anytime soon?
